Who Should Not Take Acyclovir Cream?

You should not take acyclovir cream if you are allergic to Zovirax cream, acyclovir, or any of the inactive components used to make acyclovir cream. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients. Also, you should not use acyclovir cream if you are allergic to Valtrex® (valacyclovir), a similar medication.
